This might be approaching the most incorrect statement I've ever read about everquest. Virtually every class except maybe 2 are drastically better off soloing at almost every point in their progression for the overwhelming majority of time.
EQ is a multiplayer game at endgame, sure, but up until that point if you intention is to level quickly then grouping is usually a bad idea in most cases. Maybe if you're duo'ing a high ZEM zone and you have literally the entirety of the zone to yourself, sure. "Find a healer and duo" -- the reality is they're better off without you, sadly. You're just slowing their xp down in most cases. Except for maybe a cleric since they can't quad and they're not shamans.
