I do not agree, because the main guidelines were followed. What you are referencing is contact tracing stuff, which was already hinky and difficult to setup/maintain.

I am referring to CDC guidelines for lockdowns, vaccine recommendations, mask usage. If you followed 80% of the guidelines, you are still mostly following them.

You seem very hostile regarding this. I am not trying to force discussion about vaccine efficacy, as that cannot be proven or disproven. Rollout and government/media working together can be proven though, so I like to focus on that.

Throwing around " anti-vaxxer " is very biased and rude. That is a dehumanizing term and there is no excuse for someone understanding what that implies to use it in a derogatory fashion. That is very insulting and shows what kind of person you are. You are just cherry-picking anything that fits, then labeling anyone who disagrees as a psychopath.

Polio vaccine was in mass trials of 1.8 million in a 1-year trial.

The first successful demonstration of a polio vaccine was by Hilary Koprowski in 1950, with a live attenuated virus which people drank. The vaccine was not approved for use in the United States, but was used successfully elsewhere.

Not only that, but vaccines for polio were in development since 1950

It's silly to try to compare the two because covid was an emergency, and the first of its kind, and had 8 months of trials.

AND if your logic is, "well the polio vaccine worked, so something totally different will work no reason to question it" doesn't really show that you have a very high INT

It is silly not to compare the two vaccines when the trial period for the polio vaccine (Not when it was developed, since other SARS like vaccines have also been made before-2004 just as in your example) and the trial period for the Covid19 mRNA vaccine were almost the same time period.

And the polio vaccine then needed several boosters.
