First I've heard. Those I've known in the past described the Torah as equivalent to the first portion of the Old Testament and had some other T-word that I don't recall to account for most the rest of it. They generally discounted the New Testament as (from their perspective) the ramblings of early Christians. Is it some difference between sects of Judaism?

Separate but equal. It is depending on sect entirely, just like all the groups of catholic, Christianity, ect.

My family were hippie jews, so we are under the belief that everyone worships the same creator entity, and we should strive to improve our lives, and the lives of the people around us.

No one is doomed to hellfire, just confusion. I was taught the bible is just a part of the Torah, which can be argued forever, just like all religions. The come to the same conclusion, that man is weak, foolish, and should trust in the tenates given by god.

I am very strong towards the original constitution because of this, and feel strongly of god given rights, now just to jews but to everyone. Any government trying to rob a HUMAN of the dignity and "Manifest destiny" is corrupt imo.
