The original crew of IB never lorded anything over anyone until it became en vogue to do so because we were sick and fucking tired of all the lies. It was a reaction to treat people like they should be playing Hello Kitty Island Adventures, not an original action. What we have now is just a carryover from that original time period.

Pretty sure we were both there the first time Trans killed Nagafen. IB went out of their way to sit on their hands and watch a sub 50 paladin solo tank Nagafen for what seemed like hours. It was a lot more civil then.

My wall of text was directed mainly at the 'I've been in TR for a month now and god we're the best thing ever' fucktards which are generally the real reason the majority of you go through the RnF and in-game hell that you do.

I'm a poor excuse for the cheating/hacking whatever, of course. I never once zoned into Kedge with a Trans tag on, zoned into Fear exactly once in that span, etc. Hell i didn't even know what MQ and SEQ was until i took my long sabbatical and donked around on EZ. I know pyro and crow and everyone was pretty shocked when i went Trans to begin with when IB formed. Was hard to explain that i had like 0 interest in raiding this time around and was having more fun 3 manning deep into guk at level 30 than i would reliving batphone nightmares from a decade ago.

One thing you'll always be jealous of, of course, is the fact that i got deleveled and was almost banned outright by Tantalar (was that his name?) back in the first week the server was live.. For reporting a bug directly to him, of all things. Months later i was actually defending him in the whole Tumpy Tonic scandal, which goes to show you that i, too, have a sense of humor. :P

And i guess the thing that amuses me the most about all these threads is the fact is we're all basically the same person. You could make jokes that IB - Doze + Peace Pipe - Eclipse - Doze = Fusion - Ascention - Tmo.. I mean.. jesus.. hasn't everyone been touched by every guild by now? You can jump back to the early days of IB and i think we'd both agree that IB kicked it into overdrive when they snagged pretty much every melee class + wizard from Trans in the early days. Hell, the reason Barthorn was tanking nag to begin with was Sever rode the Galahad train to 50 and basically disappeared and... yes, children, Durison was only like 39 at the time and not ready to main tank back then. Hell we could have probably used Zilo to MT but he joined the darkside, too lol.

The bottom line is if i saw your corpse in Chardok and you were bound in CoM, you know i'd res you.. Just like if you saw my corpse at Shroom King you'd drag it back to jail for me. Which goes to the bigger picture: in most of those old QQ necro'd threads - me and you are pretty much the only 2 left still actively playing. And all the angered folks who were so passionate about topic A or B or C or whatever.. they're all burned out and long gone. I think there is a lesson in that somewhere.

People who don't generally get along don't last for the long haul. Which is stupid cuz we're all basically the same age group, same past, same interests, and like the same silly 10 year old game. You'd think we'd get along better. Hell, in a typical bar on a friday night you get people that don't have *any* of that in common, they all drink heavily, and it still mostly turns out far more peaceful and tranquil than what happens on this server. it's a mega /facepalm, for the most part.
