Perfectly reasonable to be totally honest, its simply the weak-ass cultural shift to having them helicopter around in spaces they were not required to previously, which is why they were not there during my youth even though kids fought in schools.

Asshole #1: "Hey, I don't think these people are listening to the message anymore."
Asshole #2: "Let's begin targeting their kids, that should get their attention."
Dipshit #1: "Well, now an armed guard is justified. Here son, wear this lanyard."
Kid #1: "Fuck you, Dad"

Why do you do this to yourself, Ooloo? I don't recall seeing any particular points of contention on this either way, but you're acting like it's because nobody has the balls to challenge your 'genius' room-temperature take

If I post "the moon is actually made of cheese" and nobody argues with me about it, that doesn't mean the mean the moon is actually made of cheese, it just means nobody cared enough to nibble on my idiot bait. Or I'm on everyone's ignore list.

Put armed guards in schools, fine, go nuts, my school growing up had one, especially after Columbine, and that was 20+ years ago. the problem is bigger than a few people with guns to defend against bad people with guns, and just like you said, if guns were outlawed there'd just be more stabbings or bombs or whatever.

The problem is not being addressed at its source and it won't be as long as the status quo remains

Largely, neoliberal capitalism itself is my answer to both of these things

It's a myriad of problems caused by capitalist beliefs, anyways

Opposition to capitalism, of course

But that's not gonna happen, not through electoral politics. Which is why the party I actually support is the woke mob, gathering outside of the homes of the powerful, looking to a particular french device that's served them well in the past

The problem is much bigger than guns and we all know it. America is a deeply insane country. Neither of the two conservative ruling parties actually want to solve this problem, even if individuals care, the parties certainly don't. Because solving the problem would involve structural change, and that would mean upsetting the balance of power.

So, in essence, the beatings will continue until morale improves

When Joe was asked if he thought himself smart when he makes simple spelling errors, he replied he hires people who can spell check.

You got any brilliant ideas to share? You don't see this helicopter going down?
