Low income minority families tend to have more children than middle class or affluent white ones. This becomes part of the their children’s problem, it’s often a single parent trying to manage 4+ children’s behaviors in a cramped, crowded and chaotic environment

I’ve gone into the homes before in my job and basically had to throw my hands in the air in regards to the parent’s request to change one particular child’s negative behaviors. In the meantime the parent has their other 4 kids throwing objects at me and them, yelling, disrupting, and making huge messes everywhere in a small dingy apartment. You can only do so much until the parent gets control of the environment, which is not possible for most
