Yes! late 80s. I saw my first show in 88' at the Phila spectrum, and went to about 75 shows over the next 7 years. Not as serious as some others I know, but I did a little travelling besides Philly - Pittsburgh, Meadowlands, Nassau Coliseum, Albany, Hartford, Landover, Buckeye Lake, and some Mardi Gras shows in Oakland CA. ..sure do miss those times [You must be logged in to view images. If you haven't been following Furthur (Bob+Phil's new band) they're absolutely phenomenal. Polished and energized as hell (even when they're completely out in "no man's land" improvising) with high-caliber improvisational musicians all around. Jeff Chimenti is an evil genius on keys, and Joe Russo on drums will make you go "Wait, what?" The two phenomenal backup singers they picked up add so much as well. Bob and Phil are at the absolute top of their game in their 60s and 70s, too.

Seen them about 6-7 times now and going to see them again this Sunday in Atlanta.

I agree Pearl Jam was also good back in the day. Saw them open up for Soundgarden @ Lalapalooza 1 in Dallas...and they simply blew Soundgarden away...no one really knew who they were yet....but after that day...they sure as hell did.
