I remember when Live servers had 2500+ on a busy night during classic/Kunark.

At points in 2018/early 2019 there were 2000 on the server at prime time and it was fine. Heck there were 2000 people on servers with just the classic old world back in the day when EQ launched.

1500-2000 people with Velious is totally fine. Server would be amazing if they merged

1000% anyone who thinks otherwise must not have ever played everquest.

The higher the population, the better. See red99 for example of low pop. Great for getting your raid items not great for being a game.

There won't be that many playing on the merged server if they open a fresh server around the same time as planned. I'd argue blue population may drop after the merge and green 2.0 since there may be some people on blue itching to go play on a fresh server.

When velious launched on blue we were seeing 2200 prime time. At 1700, the server will feel alive again.

upwards of 2800+ for first couple days. Which I found insane when New World (hssssss) launched with server player caps of 2K and lag still ruined the game. 22 years after everquest launched and can't handle as many players smh
