I usually drink PBR when I'm going out cause I aim to get drunk/have money in my pocket the next day, but when I'm feeling classy I'll get some dark beers.

Drank some homebrewed cream ale; switched it up to Fat Tire.

I never really liked beer. I was more of a Rum and coke guy.

But I was talking with a friend of mine about Beers and told him I've never found a beer I liked. I listed off the 3 major piss-water brands and he understood. He said he had the beer for me.
I went to the Pub (actually the name of a bar) and tried an Aventinus.
The server poured the beer in the Aventinus logo glass and I took a sip.

After every beer I've tried, I ask myself. Would I drink this if it wasn't alcholoic? Aventinus was the first time I answered yes.

It took a few more over the next few days and I began to really enjoy it. By then I was past the 'beer' flavor and started picking up on the other flavors.

It's expensive and inconvenient to get which prevents me from drinking (and spending) too much. It's a Beer I really enjoy every weekend or so.

On a side note I have tried the Eisbock, but did not enjoy it that much. I think it was the setting though. I enjoy Aventinus out of a glass because I take in the smell as much as the taste. The Eisbock was almost room temp and out of the bottle. I would be willing to try it again, but haven't had the opportunity. It's even rarer than the Aventinus around here (Hampton Roads, VA).

This thread is awesome. I love seeing all the different kinds of beer and where they come from.

I've got tons of suggestions for people who either don't care for beer or like beer and would like to branch out. My college is the number 1 binge drinking school in America, I've had my share for sure [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Best Pils style I've ever had. I'm sure there is better in Europe, but this is some pretty fucking great brew.

I just looked over the last couple of pages.

Less QQ, more pew-pew guys.

WTF, nobody wants to hear what you have to say if what you have to say isn't accompanying pictures of beer.

Shut the fuck up and post beer.

Maybe my favorite beer in the world:
Laughing Lab Scottish Ale
Bristol Brewing, Colo Springs, CO

Otherwise this is a strong contender:
Vanilla Cream Ale from Blackhorse Brewery in Clarksville, TN.
