anyone smart enough to build a nuke knows that if they use said nuke then they no longer have a country.

so putin is like, "if you intervene when i take ukraine, we'll have a nuclear war"

putin is smart enough to know that if he pushes nato into a nuclear conflict, then there won't be a russia anymore.
