"LGBTQ+ acceptance" is a ridiculous term. They have not only been accepted, they hold nearly all the institutional power. People keep talking about that chappelle special, and how he still holds all the cards and the trans community has no power. Meanwhile he just got disinvited from a bunch of film festivals where he was gonna be screening a documentary he made, over the netflix controversy. Yup they have no power at all, I mean they only got a mega-famous and beloved comedian cancelled for telling totally good-natured jokes.

This is always the problem with left wing social movements, they don't actually *WANT* to succeed, because succeeding means they no longer have a purpose or identity. We have to all pretend that LGBTQ individuals are still horribly oppressed and mistreated, because the victim status gives them direct power. Just like we have to pretend there are evil white supremacists lurking everywhere like it's still 1850, cause then you get to be ANTI-white supremacist! How brave. Meanwhile there are like ten white supremacists left in the country. Maybe even 15!

I have frequently wished that Democrats are as cool as Conservatives think that they are, but I've frequently been let down by the truth
