How do you do fellow disciplinarian? I got some anorexia shade too as a kid although I never have really quite been that way. I think when I was a kid I restricted calories mostly because I enjoyed the altered state fasting put me in. It wasn't really related to body image at that time.

I know just what you mean about being unable to do this anymore though. I've been trying to hit this weight again since high school. 1200kcal a day is the lowest I could maintain by my own volition around age 27. So thanks God for helping me diet [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
There has been a few anorexics who became fitness models. The mindset of an anorexic person is very conducive to fitness. Not only the micromanagement of food but also the willingness and mental ability to make the body suffer, sometimes intensely. But clinical treatment still helpful because there is a form of exercise-based anorexia too

To a lesser degree I think gamers translate well to fitness success. Mostly due to the hypercritical nature (which in gaming they attribute to their character), obsessiveness towards their chosen hobby, and micromanagement skill developed (willingness to track things and do research to succeed at hobby)

I'm not afraid to die, once I'm dead I won't be having any experience at all; good nor bad. The events leading *up* to death might be very unpleasant though, and I don't look forward to that period.

Death itself is nothing to fear though, just like how when you're asleep at night and not having a dream, you simply have no experience. It'll be fine, don't worry.

Not that I want to be recommending suicide, but if quality of life due to terminal illness and physical pain is terrible, the best method is probably a heroin or fentanyl OD

You would feel extremely good as the drug’s mental effects begin, then the drug would cause you to lose consciousness after that, then it would suppress your CNS that controls breathing, causing you to die in your sleep. So the last thing you would be aware of is feeling really really good

It’s about the most pleasant way I can think to go

Lol ya. This is exactly something I mention to clients who are struggling with medical issues, the field of healthcare continues to improve every day, we have no way of knowing if a treatment or cure is right around the corner

It’s very delicate to put that to someone living with extreme chronic pain or some other discomfort, though. They will respond that I have no idea how bad this feels, how hard it is to make it another day even
