Caster mobs are just grotesquely overpowered. Shaman mobs in particular, considering they'll slow you, dot/nuke you, debuff you, and heal themselves. It's one of the biggest design flaws of Everquest that caster mobs basically have the same HP and melee damage as warrior mobs while also casting spells more effectively than players and generally aren't subjected to channeling checks. Caster mobs are easily several times as hard as equivalent warrior mobs, and they're never worth killing for exp. I honestly can't imagine what Verant was thinking when they designed that.

OHHH almost forgot! Dark Assassin @ Feerrott!
Barbs can whine all they want about their composers; there's a sodding lvl50 KOS rogue roaming all over the second half of the ogre newbie area. Not that he limits his rage to unsuspecting newbies, seen tons of folks fall victim to his abrupt spring-jumps from behind the trees.
