It's been tough. Tougher than I remember. I didn't level a melee character(my bard) until after luclin so it's possible I missed out on some ugly stuff. I made a necro this morning just to break up the grind and summarily made it 3 levels past my bard in about half the time it took me to get my bard to level 5. Leveling a bard through the classic content is something of a new experience for me and adds to the overall appeal of the server.

Not that I enjoy seeing "Lidara tries to hit a shadow wolf but misses" four times before I see "Lidara slashes a shadow wolf for 3 points of damage." Inevitably, this leads me to "Lidara has been slain by a shadow wolf" and the ever popular "Loading... please wait.." But this has been part of the EQ experience for some time and it does eventually get better.

Having said all that, I would like to see some option for the Luclin character models. Yes, I know it's been discussed a lot on the forums. Yes, I really did read the forums threads about it, thats why I'm being opinionated here and not creating a thread elsewhere. Yes, I still plan to keep playing on the server. I wouldn't be much of a fan if I quit because my half elf bard is more of a block than a half elf.

No, I don't care if you think I'm gay because I like most of the Luclin models better, excluding the Troll and Ogre models. It's already disturbing enough watching an ogre scratch his ass every 30 seconds with the classic models. If there is one picture we do not need a better resolution of, that would be it...
