OP could have said "Do you mind if I pull some too?" The duo acknowledged they aren't killing all the mobs, so it won't impact their kill rate. There's no rule that says there can't be two groups/soloers at the same camp.

Or move past. If you can get past any see-invis mobs, you could set up a new camp a little further in.

Unless OP is a class without effective crowd control because IIRC the mobs don’t single pull
