The reason why we define carbon as central within the first octet is because it is feasible to assume, that in between each octet are varying densities of time-space (or "nothingness" if you will.)
Element 0, sub-9, sub-17 etc, which themselves each contain corresponding octets of time/anti-time allowing for motion between the valence. | ||
