New World

I'm in for New World...but not expecting more than a few months of fun out of it.

It isn't going to be a "home" the way that real MMOs are...it is all going to be about being ganged up and playing with the same people you already know as far as I can tell.

The itemization is bad. Everything feels like a random stat upgrade and not an actual item I'm excited about. New item drops...out with old in with new...do this multiple times in a single game session. Result is no attachment to old gear or sense of accomplishment on new gear...it all looks and feels the same.

Giving it a full chance when release comes, but I think this will be a fun game to hop into with your discord friends and play around in for a few months. If I'm still playing by Thanksgiving I'll be surprised...if I'm not pissed about wasting hours in it by Christmas I'll be shocked.
