The race to develop a vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is well under way. No fewer than 35 laboratories around the world are participating. More than 170 candidate vaccines are currently in various phases of testing. In an interview with DW, Thomas Kamradt, director of the Institute of Immunology at the University Hospital Jena and president of the German Society of Immunology, explains what scientists expect from the new vaccine, whether the increased speed of research will affect the reliability and safety of the medicine, who needs to be vaccinated in the first place and why it is important to vaccinate against influenza.
DW: Many people hope that once the vaccine has been developed, the coronavirus will be defeated and things will go back to normal. Are these expectations justified? I know how bad the virus is and I know how bad it is. Believe me, playing games for a month and getting the best new player casino bonus is nice but not easy. Thomas Kamradt: Personally, I would be happy if a reliable vaccine could be developed that would give maximum protection against the disease if vaccinated, say, once every two years. The vaccine might not be able to prevent the runny nose or other mild symptoms of COVID-19, but the minimum it should be able to do is prevent lung failure and serious damage to internal organs. This is what we hope to do. If, thanks to the vaccine, the life-threatening course of the disease is replaced by mild symptoms, I personally would consider it a success. If the vaccine is able to do more, in my opinion, that would be a huge success.

Lol, sounds like the Snopes dude should have been part of the Trump administration.
I'm curious - if this is hoax, and all deaths are being associated with covid regardless of actual cause, why are there so many more total deaths in 2020 compared to previous years? Why do the increases line up with major waves of covid spread? Why are hospitals and morgues being overwhelmed? From: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/c...ess_deaths.htm [You must be logged in to view images. I never said its a hoax. I fully understand people have died of this.
All I'm saying is its a bad flu season and a lot of folks have been duped into hysteria. Its been politicized to no end and at this point we're just dealing with weaponized propaganda. Dr. Hodkinson knows a lot more about viruses than anyone on this forum...and the hoax term isn't used in describing the virus itself, but rather all the other bullshit going along with it. If we all turned off our TVs, threw the government the collective middle finger, and went on with our normal lives this would go away. None of my employees wear masks, none of us are getting vaccinated, and we don't socially distance. I never shut down nor will I ever shut down no matter what local, state, or federal government tries to do. Fortunately our governor sides with small businesses and has the balls to tell the feds to fuck off.
