Haidt, like most lefties, entirely omits the concept of prudence in his moral framework.

Prudence is the moral that is used to temper/balance other morals.

Without prudence, bravery become foolhardiness, good intentions become oppressive instruments etc.

The fact that the left doesn't even consider prudence to exist in the moral framework (and a lot of people on the right as well) is very telling as to why anyone with any modicum of centrality is left scratching their heads in what-the-fuck-dome as the left and right play tug of war into extremism on both sides of the political aisle.

This is my judgement on haidt's "The Righteous Mind"; it glaringly overlooks the value of prudence.
