As well as a handful of decent quests, and the ridiculously OP tarnished shan tok, once you get your faction up a little bit the troopers will start give you spoilers as to what to find among the various lands and dungeons of kunark.

okay, so after playing for awhile last night, (got necro to L4) I have some questions that make me sound like a total newbie (which I admittedly AM, with regards to Red and all things PvP). There was some terminology thrown around in /ooc that I couldn't quite decipher by context or otherwise, and have not been able to sufficiently figure it out by way of the boards here. So- couple of terms I'm seeking clarification/explanation of please: Plug (plugging) and YT's.
So from context I gathered that Plugging was logging out during pvp encounter... maybe even just zoning out? Is this done when unavoidably losing, to avoid being 'announced' as defeated? YT's seem to be some sort of negative 'feedback' or losing stats/stigma attached to losing pvp encounters. They are BAD, and result from losing... is about all I could gather regarding this. I'm a LONG way from ever being involved, so I may figure it out over time, but just curious again, after seeing such commentary in an evening's playtime. Clearly the vast majority of this server's population (small as it may be) has been playing for a very long time. (((Funny though how someone can stir up as much hostility as one did last night, without somebody knowing who they were/are))) The guild/server politics are beyond me, and always will be. I'm just a lowbie fly on the wall observing all the smack talk and somewhat enjoying it. Starting in a new (to me) beginning city on this new (to me) pvp server is quite refreshing and makes me feel like i truly am starting from scratch with wide-eyed bewilderment. Much fun so far, killing skelles running from SWCubs, and cursing the Militia Skeletons, all while running around FoB all alone! haha

YT refers to a PvP kill which are announced server wide in yellow text “DBStrong has slain Tassador in field of bone”
Meant to encourage pvp, it is a non classic aspect of the server that I consider abominable. Plugging is when you zone out and unplug your lan cable, cutting your connection. Your character enters the zone line and never comes out the other side. It is the only way to instant disconnect and spare yourself a death. It’s totally classic and I don’t hold any grudges for people that do it. In that sense a zone line is a safe place from both PvP and PvE Beware of zones with an exit different than the entrance which for the most part are introduced in Kunark to limit the damage caused by trains. Congrats on level 4. I’d focus on skeletons to get their bone ships and the shields they drop are worth 1pp which will help you get your spells.

Pro tip is to not kill Burynai so that Kurns tower is safer for you. Burynai start off as non kill on sight to you. The badgers.

I noticed those shields... very much a target for vendor fodder. Also read about the badger/burynai elsewhere, so yeah- until I have a good reason to kill them, I'll avoid them for the time being. I do know that Kurn's is going to be great once I work my way up to it.
