Just remember if you quit red to get free pixels and uninterrupted powerlevels and seb/vp/vt key camps via ur 'wife aka box' on blue or RoZ, you lost red.

I don't have any desire to kill other players or be killed by other players. So why come here besides the appeal of low population which is nice sometimes.
Hmmm.. I'm a blue player since 2016.. Had a small adventure on green.. Ultimately accepted my retirement with the red server.. I don't have time to raid, and at this point in my life, i'm not suddenly gonna stumble upon more gaming hours in my life...

I finished most my childhood dreams on blue. Got an epic, got a toon to 60, made some twinks, yada yada.. Then i moved onto green, where i reached that level 40 bottleneck during the early days, and couldn't get a group for the life of me, and when i did, i'd have like an hour before having to log... Found myself getting discouraged and a little stressed at all my friends adventuring for hours without me [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Anyways, decided red was my last shot to keep playing. And it was the answer. I get to finish seeing what i want to see, and adventuring where i want to adventure.. I get to camp mobs i could only dream of, and i enjoy this stress free server.

I didn't join for PVP, but having now been here for months, I do see their ways.. I see how fucking cool pvp'n over mobs or camps is vs. Petitioning on blue or green... Duke it out vs. submitting a claim to customer service? Hands down the better way to handle things. The way PVP changes your outlook.. Simple things u take advantage of on blue or green, are bad habits on red. You gear up differently. You find use for spells you dont use on blue or green often. You find yourself thinking differently- Can i trust this guy porting me. Can i trust these folks i just randomly grouped with that aren't in my guild? Who is this Weren guy who just entered Oasis? SHould i be concerned?

Try this server cause PVP is part of Everquest and you should experience everything everquest! Try this server to kill another player.. Play this server for PVE. Any reason you play on this server, is healthy for this server.. You just become fun for somebody who does enjoy PVP.

Low population - camps are generally open
Community - as toxic as red is, it’s nowhere near as toxic as blue or green.
PvP - this isn’t as much as hunting others down or being hunted down. It just adds an extra level of risk. Without risk you don’t have rewards. Small rewards feel much more grand when you navigate through more risk. It’s why we play classic eq over live. The risk of losing exp, corpse, etc is what makes this game much more enticing. And pvp adds that extra level of risk.

Seriously it cant be said enough. The toxicity IN GAME seems almost non existent... It's these forum personalities that do a number on folks interested.. So many of the folks currently on and having a good time have come from one of the PVE servers..

Blah blah blah, just join sanctuary and you'll feel right at home here if you're a Blue/Green player... Warm up to the PVP part at your own pace.

And don't forget global /ooc.. It's a huge huge plus.. I can spend 3 hours in Dreadlands on blue and not hear from a single soul.. But at least on red, there is chatter no matter how empty the zone you're in is.. And the low pop kinda makes me feel closer to the community to be honest.. I recognize so many names everyday i login.

I'd also add that, from a community perspective, Red actually often feels like more people are playing because of global OOC. For OP--I was also someone that had very little interest in PVP, the organized PVP I participated in was fun, but honestly, if you don't want to PVP, you can mostly avoid it.

The XP is so fast you can go to random places and level easily, there's often leveling guilds you can quickly form groups in, it's not nearly as bad as people on blue make it out to be.

It always felt like something big was going on somewhere.

Most people who posts here don’t really play. It’s creepy that your childhood dreams was to level a lvl 60 character and receive pixels (epic).

I hope you’re just joking around about that.

As a 14 year old kid when I got my hands on everquest, yes it was a goal to get to 60 and an epic as a child.. I did not meet these goals, or come anywhere close. So yes as an adult playing classic everquest in 2016-2020, it was a goal to complete that childhood mission by getting a toon to 60 and an epic..

Sorry you played everquest with really cool reasons??
