Once in my 20s my downstairs neighbors were fighting. I put my ear to the floor and was like "wow they're really going at it". The couple down there had a 3 year old kid. I heard them down there "you're hurting him you're hurting him, put him down, put the knife down!" It started to get really scary!

So, as a good liberal I said "honey go make some popcorn!" and I kept my ear to the ground with a big grin [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Spoken like someone who has never been in a fight.

The best outcome in a fight is not getting chinned and 99% of the time that means either running away (tricky depending on situation) or getting the first hit in (often followed by the former).

Source: I'm a nightclub bouncer. I see a lot of this.
I love those guys that lead with their chin. They get in your face start bumping you with their chest and meanwhile it's right there, right there just inches from you, so tempting.

Keep the chin down and away!

That's cool I learned there is an official term for it. Getting "chinned". I know it's official because bouncer lingo can't be wrong. Ha ha awesome.
