You'd have to ask them, they were instructed to go there and try to disrupt the counting.

It's rarely correctly cited as this but a lot of crimes are basically domestic terrorism.

In his case he was attempting to stop people from peacefully protesting by killing them with the intent to dissuade future protests and incite fear.
