Enchanter cha impact on charming, worth going from 252-255?
Hey all, so I remember reading somewhere on the forums a while back that the bottom line effect of charisma is that every 10 points gives you effectively -1 MR on your resist checks and charm breaks.
If this is true, and assuming that you aren't able to get partial points off MR (-0.3 MR for 3 points of cha for example) then does that mean that there is no effective difference between 252 cha and 255 cha? Or, for that matter, between 250 cha and 255 cha?

No one knows, but what I can safely say is that you won't be able to notice a difference, it might be there but it's so small it's negligeable.

Whether there's a difference between 250 and 255 is indiscernible. Mind you, the -MR check and the level-check are hardcoded at a fixed rate and are constant, but the end result is A x B x.77C is AB x .77C regardless at cap and ungeared are generally around 100 cha so the 100 to 200 span decreases charm breaks by roughly 10% and the remaining 50+ stats are for and additional 3% decrease. You're over 250 and none of the data ever indicated a significant difference on cha scores between the 10-stat spans. Reminder: there's also a charisma check on the initial landing of the charm.

Just get 255 and save yourself the headache.

The biggest difference will be the weight off your shoulders once you finally reach 255 and put the worrying behind you.

The difference between 200 and 255 is the same as the difference between 195 and 200. Let that sink in awhile the next time you consider your gear.
