Be a communist with your friends and family, most decent people already do. If my friend needs to borrow something he can. If you start extending that circle to millions of people who you have no emotional connection to or investment in, self preservation and human nature immediately take over any lofty altruistic ideals you might think you have. This is why it never works, ever. If only they taught this in undergrad history, american cities probably wouldn't be on fire right now. As the cliche goes, capitalism is the worst system apart from all the others. By all means improve it if you have a sensible proposal, but sitting around like a hipster doofus unironically advocating for communism is so crazily moronic and ignorant it makes me rant on p99 off topic. Right but, it's not a strawman, because as I said *lots* of people really do believe this shit. Specifically, people who are currently burning down cities in the country that I live in.
