Default Rules about Multiple Accounts

I have read that dual-boxing (or further) is not allowed. There's even an ip ban thingie if you try and that hits you sometimes if you crash and try to log back in.

However, I was wondering about having multiple accounts. So, instead of having 8 characters on one account, having 4 on two or so forth. You would never be playing more than ONE at a time.

The purpose, then, would be that the accounts could be lent to friends or guildies without compromising your main, or other characters.

Personally, I was wondering if I could help my friend level their account if I get ahead of them since I plan on playing a lot more than she does. Or even if I could make a new account and character on it that would compliment my main that I could have them (or other people) play when I want to show them P99.

Anyway, I wanted to ask before I did anything bad.
Thanks

Multiple accounts are fine, I think a lot of people create one character per account so that if they want to sell that character or trade them they can. Check the EC tunnel forum for proof of that.

If by helping your friend level if you get ahead of them you mean playing their character, I doubt much would be wrong with that. Or, if you mean powerleveling their character, that would be fine too, as long as you are not playing your character and their character at the same time somehow.

One body per character, but you sound like you already know that.

I feel like I'm misunderstanding something you said, but I'm not sure what it is...

Yes, Sir. You are free to create multiple accounts.

You can currently make three Login-Server accounts from one email address over at EQEmulator.

You can easily create another Forum ID with a different email address to create three more, ad infinitum.

Just don't play them from the same IP.

The thing I'm curious about is how do folks sell powerleveling if you can't two box? Is the other player supposed to be online while you slay whatever for them or..?

that's one method, or you can pass your info to them where they have multiple people playing eq emu in a, if you will, "nerd hive."

Basically yes. They do all the pulling and most of the killing...usually you'll have a damage shield on you which does most of the damage itself, as long as you're getting 1 damage (or 1 AOE spell) to land on everything that's hitting you... you'll get the exp.

Crucially yes, you need to be online for the hour (or however long you buy). Personally I think that takes away from the challenge of the grind, but I'm only me and not everyone else [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Since it's ok to sell accounts for ingame platinum and items, it seems very likely that it is just swell to exchange account info and play one another's accounts.

As an aside, powerleveling from both sides of the equasion is fun, profitiable, and efficient. It is a totally acceptable way to both spend money and earn money. I'd love to see more of an active market in forums for it, so I know who to ridicule when they put it down. Like people who disparage others for camping items for money or playing a different gender character than they are in real life. (What, are you a dark elf in real life?)

Thanks! That answered my question perfectly and it looks like there are no restrictions I need to worry about [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I would actually like to look into powerleveling. When I was a kid I had more time to game and no money to throw around or ability to spend it online (credit card).

Today is a different story. I still enjoy gaming and I'm no noob but TIME is money.

Sure...I could grind slowly starting a new character with no money and work my way up like the old days (that's what I'm currently doing) but if you say there are people who would offer to help speed that along...say I spend $20 and save 10 hours of hardcore grinding work...

Well, maybe I'll go pick up an extra shift at work and end up with many times more than that in my pocket.

I even make the real world economy better by creating jobs! (LOL)

There is a loser, though, which is any hardcore teenage / unemployed gamer that plays 24/7 as it diminishes their power in much the same way that cheaters, exploiters, and elite guilds/groups do...except they don't help the economy at all ;-)

Anyway, thanks for the help everybody [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Hmm, I'm being told that paying money for power leveling is a bannable offense.

Now I'm confused.
