How many alts do you have?

Having alts is a great way to play. In terms of sitting LFG at a zone line for an hour or more sometimes, wouldn't it be great to have another character you want to group with that's ready to go in case of that happening?

With Kunark I had characters parked in Oasis, MM, CoM or Sebilis... so if there was no slots available in some there were always alternatives [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

This is a big motivator for me as well. As a fairly casual player, I often can't play for long stretches. So joining a list and waiting 2 hours to get in at the ideal camp isn't really a good choice for me. So I LFG somewhere for 5ish mins. If prospects don't look good, I try the next character. And I always have a solo-capable character that I can play for the times I can't find any groups at all and don't want to waste my xp session.

I've come to realize that this is the ONLY way to play. Alts parked at every major dungeon ensures easy grouping whenever grouping is desired. Also think of how EQ is designed... with its long ass tedious camps for quest pixels. Aegis of Life comes to mind. Park an alt on Grimrot, log off, check back in 3 hours.
