For myself, I prefer more othered terms such like as the *hamens* or *wemen*, because those words are very close to humans and women, but a little different. SECONDLY, the subtlety of the jab is lost on all but the most asstoot: HA(lf)MENs and WE MEN (not wee men).

Kind of like a possessed haunted derelict ship that has returned with a female identity that wants to 'show you beautiful things' but her butt exploded and 3 people are trapped on the remains listing probably eternally lost in the outer solar system.

I hope they keep the deeply religious overtones if they ever try to remake her. I feel like Amazon stuff has a decidedly secular theophobic bent lately.

I don't like the trend of 'everything must be super well defined by science including vampires' but Blade was fine.
