Anyone noticed any strange things when looting corpses?

How long does this last?? Could a gnome build invisible walls with these by looting and moving a corpse over an inch and looting over and over??

Gnomish corpse prison, I wonder if the "wall" is persistent if someone is just kneeling down looting corpse, might be able to make some weird invisible stair cases/ladders!
