PVP happens at low levels. I made a monk in Qeynos and was maybe level 3 when a druid stopped by to root me and keep me there forever eventually dispatching me. When I returned for my cloth armor the same thing happened but this time insults were thrown my way. This was the first person I met on Red and yes he kept on camping my corpse. What fun...
In the time I've played Red I have never had this happen on a low level and it rarely happens at other levels as well. There is a rule in place that you can utilize to prevent this from happening and it's listed directly in the Play Nice Policy. You can call Loot and Scoot (LNS) for the zone you are in and you are then allowed to get your corpse and leave the zone. If you need to cross multiple zones to get your corpse you can call it in each zone you pass through to prevent anyone from killing you on a corpse run. I would say this is far from a normal experience on Red as I can't recall the last time I had to call LNS on any of my characters.

Played on red for 2 years, can confirm, no one ever broke the rules and corpse camped me. Honestly the rules only ever got blurry at the super high end for things like "what constitutes a train" or "was that xp death intentional or not".

At low levels, literally just don't go to major dungeons and you'll avoid pvp, almost every dungeon has extremely overgeared characters camped there to kill people.

Anyone remember when you were leveling in CB, a low-level troll in a fungi would show up and kill everyone? what about the jerkoff ranger named Abualfreeporti who would hunt down low-level players and ragequit after someone finally managed to kill him? I remember grouping in Oasis, and a rogue in a fungi showed up and killed the entire group and told us leveling in Oasis was off-limits.
I was on red during the Colgate vs Lite days. I haven't gone back in a while, but I wonder if it's really true all the toxics have gone green?

Like I said, pretty much avoid any commonplace area you would think to level, it's not worth it. You get so much XP on Red you can literally level anywhere at an absurd rate.
