I think if one group is able to roll in and hold the camp and keep all mobs down, it's their camp and they get to keep it all.
However, if you were already there taking one of the named rooms and a group rolls in they have no right to kick you out of your spot. It's really not a matter of trying to rules lawyer your way around it and more a way of common courtesy. If somebody is camping a named and is able to hold the named itself and others roll in, they should respect that player and leave him to his named and take everything else around them if they wish to remain at the camp.
