Meh.
If they cared about a classic Everquest experience, everything would be open source. That way people could work collectively to create a classic server, see different iterations, settle disputes as a communal effort.
I had some great times here, but it's ultimately a narcissistic "our rules" sandbox for the creators.
Which is pretty opposite of what eqemu started out as. They didn't hide stuff. They wanted people to have access to tools and work together to create interesting projects with the client.
