Default True new player

Green has made me want to try blue, however being 10 years behind the servers launch is incredibly intimidating (similar to just a few months on green meaning you don't compete in the economy)

If I planned to play and eventually raid with whoever the top guilds are what's a good strategy economically etc to be able to support reagants, consumables, clickies etc.

Any advice on what classes actually do what?

What classes are the best farmers etc?

What classes will I actually get group invites and be able to make friends?

True new player already asking about raiding with top guilds?

Don't worry about it. Enjoy the path to 60 first.

Blue is great for a casual player. Low end gear is either super cheap or just given away in tunnel. Just don't be afraid to /who all (your level range here) and get people to group up and/or stick to the most popular zones.

If your brand new to the server Enchanter is probably the best choice in my opinion. I don’t have any experience raiding on one on p99 and have heard conflicting options as to whether they are just buff bots or exciting to play when helping pull.. I’ll leave that for someone else to answer.

On the road to 60, the pros of enchanter are they are very cheap to gear, arguably the best solo and group class, best mana regen spells, charm, best dps if in a group, Best crowd control, second best slow, and also the best plat farming class. I enjoyed the class all the way to 60. It is great to be able to solo and get some exp if you don’t have time to play and get a duo or group if you want.

There is a bit of a learning curve on how to be effective charming but if you watch the videos Tecmos made there is a ton of information in them.

Best of luck!

I would say druid first. Can bum potg and level very fast. People tip well here, only have to get to 44 for all port spells and can make easy $$ to twink toon you want to play.

But really any caster or priest is cheap to gear, melee are the costly ones.

Hope this helps, have fun!

Necro and Wizard sometimes have issues getting group invites.

Y'all do realize for a true new EQ player a lot of those descriptions are going to mean nothing, right?

I'll try to enlighten on a few of the more unique terms to the best of my ability:
HT - Harm Touch, a Shadow Knight ability that deals a massive amount of damage on an extremely long cooldown.
mem blur - Memory Blur, clears aggro from a mob
tash - Tashan line of spells (lowers a mob's resistance to magic)
twitch - Covetous Subversion, transfers mana from the Necro to another player.
coth - Call of the Hero, summons another player to your location.
mod rod - Magicians can summon Modulating Rods and give them out to others. They allow anyone to instantly to convert HP to mana.

And as a casual player on and off for many years (no raiding or level 60s as I have an alt addiction) I don't even know what "train up" means in this sense.

Train Up:
There is a mob you want to kill, but there is a bunch of stuff between your camp and that mob. Basically, someone will grab all those mobs you dont care about and train them out while another person gets the target mob to camp.
