You should get into a set as soon as you can. Banded can last a shaman into your 40s so it is a worthwhile investment.

As far as how to obtain, you can buy a full set for about 75p in the tunnel. It will cost you at least 3x the money and time to make it yourself.

There is a certain satisfaction from crafting your own gear however....
