I believe they said the previous values were incorrect and these are classic values. I don't recall them being this low because I used belts to level up a bunch of alts back in the day and jumped through the early levels with way less than 62 belts that the OP turned in.

I think it was Tellin that said that.

I wish they would disclose what source they used to determine this.

How are you claiming you got only one level here??? belts are around 3-5% at that level and a pair of pad 8-12%. Around lvl 12 is when belts drop to 1% per turnin. Still think of it if you are xp'ing in CB after a full session you have 20-30 belts in your bags that's a free 20-30% bonus xp you get. Quit complaining you cant buy your way to 50 and enjoy the grind.

I think you're missing the point of the post. The post was more complaining that they didn't publicize the nerf and therefore OP spent a bunch of money he or she wouldn't have spent otherwise. Which is a fair complaint. Changes like this should be posted as a notice.

That sucks about CB belts. DF belts are still pretty good xp. Took my cleric from 2-9 on them. Was getting the max 11% or whatever through level 5, then it reduced from there. I didn't count how many belts I used exactly, but to ballpark it, I'd say about 8 or 9 8-slot bags of DF belts got me 7 levels.

DF belts appear nerfed as well. And bandit sashes.

Yeah, it was definitely slower than when I got my wizard some levels with belts, but it sounds like CB belts got hit a bit harder with the nerf bat for some reason based on anecdotal evidence.

I'm guessing he's referring to this thread, but Telin was a bit vague and didn't specifically say what was done to belts.
