This isn't Red though. The importance of bodies in the fight isn't as critical. On PvE it's common to see the top guild get a majority of the serious players, and then down the road they split off as they either get the gear they were after or decide competing for it is too much.

I find so many things in this thread funny. Raiding in classic eq. Loot packages of classic EQ loot. What is luring these clerics away? Platinum Tiaras?

Anything is better than nothing, which is all you're guaranteed if you don't join a zerg raiding guild that feeds you loot. I can see why a Cleric who has salvaged countless pug shitshows would be enticed to join one of these guilds for easy access to better pixels.

I dont get why people are so obsessed with 20 year old pixels. In the end, what does.it do? It's not like a pvp server where the extra stats will help you in pvp. Its amazing that people will literally spend 48 straight hours camping a manastone when you can play a custom server and get 5 of them in an hour.

Somewhere around 1200 is the max a pure classic server can handle. Beyond that and everything everywhere is crowded and people start saying screw this, I'll try again at off hours and logging off.

He also came to red99 late and was a very vocal non factor for a good 6 months
