In ten years of on and off play on this server, almost all of which was playing with one person or another in the same house as me, I have never had a guide perform a boxing check. I have to imagine we've been reported at least once, as sometimes we use /follow and I'm sure it looks suss.

I believe the staff has methods of deducing who is boxing and who is not without interfering with the player in any way. The boxing check must be simply a final confirmation.

If you see boxers, don't post on the forums about it. What's that going to do? Start a witch hunt? Report them and allow the guides to do their thing. I highly doubt there are many boxers, everyone just wants to complain about the next Disaster of Green.

I’m assuming you were playing with VPNs?

No. I have an IP exemption.

One would think that a boxer using a VPN would be much more obvious, as they would be actively attempting to hide. But who knows, I'm not a forum conspiracy theorist. I just play the game.

I mean, in both cases it shows up as different IPs. So I think unless you're doing something where players look at your behavior and report you then I don't think you'd get tested. Since you're playing with multiple people and not actually boxing, I'm sure your behavior doesn't look suspicious enough.

I've personally reported several Necromancers in Felwithe using dual boxed low level elfs to sell for them while they were whacking guards. On two of those occasions, I got to see Bracknar appear and do a boxing test which had both of them fail. Believe me, they do check from time to time when it's obvious as hell.

Yeah this is definitely one of the more obvious examples. And it's always funny when the person doesn't bother to log off their boxed lowbie elf while they're killing guards because they're too lazy to log it back in periodically lol
