Ugh. I’m still bitter about this - NYE 1999 was spent checking items off a checklist. I was an intern at a power company, and I was roped into being part of their Y2K team. I was in CST at the time, so they determined that I could go home to celebrate - at 23:55. So I was walking down a breezeway alone to the parking deck when the clock struck midnight...
