If you want groups quickly go Rogue.
You might get stuck in a dungeon waiting if the groups have tanks already. Most groups NEVER invited another tank on blue unless their main tank was leaving soon. You could also get stuck lfg waiting on rogue, and they can't solo either. Just something to think about. You should make a bard backup to play if you get stuck. There's your plan B!

I feel like OP is gonna be the beefiest muscleman dwarf rogue I cant wait to see him meatballing around Lower Guk. Walking around sneaking (like you live there) looking like an NPC.

Warrior. Rogues might have an issue this time around in Green because everyone is dead broke and might get pissed off if you pickpocket and generate back to back messages of getting caught. I'm not saying that I'm one of those players that would become upset (unless the group was in Highhold Keep) but tons of others will.

I'm in the same boat. I think I've decided on rogue, but I still really want to play a warrior or bard. I've played an SK to about 25 before and it was super fun. They're all good choices.

Rogue itemization any good? This surprises me that anyone wants to play it. I don’t remember many good piercers that early

It's a tough choice but sounds like rogue for me. Dwarf vs Barbarian though...

I am literally torn between Human Rogue and Human Ranger.

Do you want to be a master of outdoors, or more efficient party member indoors?
