Yep, and I'd also like to add that even at 50% xp, your solo kill speed is at least 2x any other class out of the gate (it slows down later though), so you won't really care about any lost xp. You get to sit and med while fluffy cleans house and you get free xp for medding.

But as others have mentioned, grouping eliminates this penalty so it's a non-issue for the most part.
