Fresh Install + Latest patch is all thats required. Never need to keep track of any inbetween patches

I also second the recommend for fresh reinstall. I was having issues left and right and nothing would work at all and it wasnt until fresh install + v49c that things didnt get 100% better but they made it to where the game was playable

Oh wow. That's not going to be easy for me with a Macbook.

Do either of you play on a Mac and know an easier way to install?

Have you tried using Wine-stable?
