We aren't capable of surviving on just vegetables or just meat- we have to have both. Anything we aren't eating needs to be chemically supplemented (via vitamins and other hippie bullshit) or we'll get sick. I didn't eat any kind of red meat or pork for 6 months for a research project and I thought I was going to die.
