On another note - this is as "classic" as it gets - remember the hours and hours of Sony downtime (patch, patch for a patch, patch for a patch for a patch, etc - especially in 99) when everyone clicked away heh ;-p

And yes, Beeshma... seeing "Nameless" after your forum name tells me you (like I) am well aware of how 'classic' it is for server to go down. Only here we don't have the little chat button to hit to go in and BS with everyone while we wait.

Thats the frustrating part. A little communication goes a long way. If they are busy doing other shit no biggie, just put up a message saying so. This expecting it "might" come back up at any time wastes alot of peoples time if it truly is not the case.

Any maybe no one is able to do that right now. You guys get spoiled at how well they treat us. Be happy we ever get any updates at all when this stuff happens.

If you are going off of what Kilyenamage posted, I don't know that I would. I think he is just rattling our chain. I've seen nothing else that says it will be down until tomorrow.

Hobby stated he is in contact with Rogean, wouldn't be much of a reach to think he could send him a text telling him what is up and to post an update letting us all know.

haha, the Gameless time on Nameless was significant.

For some reason, whenever I think of Nameless ( I only played for a few months, from server opening) I always thing of this dwarf I ran past in Wcommons with the guild tag Lost Danger Soldier....guess something was seriously lost in translation.

This was at the peak of the TW_speak on Nameless too...

Hobby said he texted Rogean. He didn't say they had an in depth talk. Maybe Rogean is at work, maybe he's on a date, maybe he's at a BBQ, who knows. Complaining about how frustrating it is that there's no update after the (free) server has been down for an hour is straight up rude.

If the problem is the eqemu login server, then I don't think there's anything the P1999 team can do directly. That box controls login to all the egemu servers, and they don't have access to it so far as I know.

I could be wrong though.
