What are the "rules" for camps that can contain multiple spawn locations/placeholders

I dont understand the logic here. If you find Quillmane up. Chances are he was spawned by someone killing the two PHs... There is the rare one in plenty chance that he was left up after someone was done with their camp... A rare chance...

When you come across him, and you haven't been taking the time to kill PHs and spawn the beast, you should just leave it the heck alone, because its likely someone else put in the work to get the fucker to spawn, and they'll probably show up soon anyways. Theres no justifying it with, "well someone could be lying about camping him"... "So i'd rather kill it than them"...

If you find a Quillmane up and want to make absolutely sure, go ahead and ooc "is anyone camping quillmane?" Its an ambiguous question and it doesnt necessarily imply that you found one up. It appears simply as someone wanting to find out if he's currently being camped, because they might be interested in also camping him. If someone responds, send them a tell with your location. Help em out.

Nah, Quillmane is FTE. Because he's up doesn't necessarily mean someone was/is camping him. Low levels could have killed the animals causing Quill to spawn. If there are enough people camping it (one at each spawn point) that they can legit claim the camp, it won't be roaming anyway.

Meh, it is what it is. To just leave Quillmane when you see it because "someone might be camping it" is so passive that it's a bit comical. If you're that worried about it, follow it around for 5 mins and see if anyone shows up. If they do, then it was someone who was camping it, or someone else running by who will now get the spawn instead of you.

Sure, to claim it as camped, you need to have a person parked at all 4 spawns (or 3? i forget, its been a while since i tried to farm quill) though. if you have a person at each spawn, then it isn't gonna be roaming.

While I agree with you in theory Feniin, it's just not the nature of this particular camp due to the spawn mechanics. Giving any quill that spawns to whoever claims to be camping it is fine if a) you're generous, and b) you trust that they aren't bullshitting you when you ask if it's camped. If I'm trying to spawn quill and someone comes across one wandering before I get to it first, I am in no way entitled to that mob if I don't engage it first. I wouldn't expect anyone to just give it to me, though it would be cool of them if the did.

It's just one of those frustrating camps. If you approach it knowing that other people are just gonna kill it if they see it, you aren't gonna be so triggered when it actually happens (though it's still annoying).

It's not ideal, it's just a realistic approach based on server rules.

First of all, "Rules" and FTE or not, my post is about decency. Most will probably care less if the dude who snipes their quillmane says "Nah, quillmane is FTE". You're probably going to get an earful.. You wanna be a decent player? First check to see if anyone's camping the damn thing... And be smart about it.

Second of all, lets be honest, not many lower level folks leveling in South Karana these days. And even if they are, theres not a lot of interest in calves and lionesses albeit the 2 PH's out of plenty roaming around... Super rare. I know you said it just for sake of argument, but it's not a good argument.
