I think the majority* of players here believe classic-Velious had the right idea.

Luclin onward.. I just can't get onboard with. I played the expansions up to like omens of war. It was all right, but mostly just a big waste of my time.

I'd rather have a completely custom game after Velious than rebuild that fail. Cats on the moon not happening on my watch.
So can we have Dogs on the moon?

Oh and for the person that said you'd get left behind in Luclin if you took some time off. Well if that happened to you then you were in the WRONG guild. We re-keyed people all the time all through Luclin (members that missed things and new members).

So there is no issue there. And if your guild here would not do that then they are the WRONG guild.

I think the point was that guilds here won't have to do that.

Not if they don't implement it no. But with PoP comes endless backflagging members and new members. And if you change that then you might as well impliment Luclin with key quest changes. For those that are LAZY!

Luclin was complete GARBAGE. I /yawned through the entire expansion, but when POP came out I was IN LOVE. For those that were willing to work for it, the flagging system was AWSOME. I felt a sense of accomplishment every time I got another flag. The raids were fun, challenging, and rewarding. The story line was brilliant as well.
Now.......like many others I think the books were a horrible idea. Yes, I'm bias, I was a wizard, but it took the sense of community out of the game. I did like POK for the gathering place to get buffed, organize raids, hang outside the bank AFK etc....

While many here hated POP, I loved it. An I'm not judging anyone here, but if you put the time, effort and energy into getting flagged, never giving up(sometimes I had to raid the same raid 4-7 times before I got the flag for it), it was rewarding, the gear rocked and it felt like I had a sense of purpose again.

PoP was great raids I do agree. Luclin had better raids IMO though. Not all based off of one zone that was easy to get to.

It was old world style FFA jumping from zone to zone to get to the bosses that were up. With the exception of SSRA and VT which were complete raid nights of course. But it was still full competition in each of those zones as well.

The great thing about Luclin is you have Awesome EXP zones as well. Lots of content and lore for all levels. Not just raids and a lil bit of xp zones for the higher lvls.
