Haven’t found a guide about soloing from 50-60. Where would one do it considering the preference for outdoor zones and single pulls? Skyfire? BW? WL?

I am fully aware that 50-60 on a mage will likely never be close to how efficient a chanter, necro or quad kiter can level, but trying to suss out if it’s realistic or just too awful to consider

Not likely skyfire. Aggro and assist ranges are huge out there, and aggroing the wrong stuff is more bothersome than just training out of the zone because they dispel and dot and stuff.

I assume there are some dungeons or other zones with a good ZEM that you can get single pulls of level 40-45 mobs in that would take you from 50-60, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

Took like a minute to find this on google: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=279595 which also points to http://wiki.project1999.com/Per-Level_Hunting_Guide

If you're going the solo route, be sure to pick up one of these @ 46:

Also, I liked MSII with the barbarian guards in EF (the ones around the plains, not the ones guarding Halas). MSII (better for chaining, only 200 mana vs. 300 for regular pets) handles them very well, can keep all 3 down without having to med, basically sic MS pet, spam click BW staff and by the time they're running you click reclaim and finish off with a final staff click or nuke. EZPZ. Good until about 53 or so.

Then I just went to KC and killed singles while I was LFG (same basic strategy, btw, except earth pet for extra HPs) around entrance/courtyards. There's usually a few people around to at least pick up a duo and add some utility. Paladins, druids, necros- whatever.

At 57 I got bored with him and rolled another alt [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I've thought about doing a Mage at times but the whole /pet attack reclaim nuke strategy seems....repetitive.

A lot more variety with a Necro. Or am I missing something?

Necromancers & Enchanters are the real cloth casters of the game. Magicians and Wizards are pretty screwed with the tools they're given.
