What is the point of this post? Questioning a volunteer's morals in a public forum doesn't seem like the best way to solicit their help .....

Either A, they don't have morals and are offended by this and don't care about your plight. Or the more likely B-scenario. They do have some morality and didn't mean to personally inconvenience you, but are now less likely than ever to help.

Self reflect a little bit here OP, you are creating needless headaches, please show some respect for the staff and the due process.
