I mean, yeah, free pet haste that I don't have to swap spell slots out for and some stats is ok... Just not worth the hassle of an epic quest, especially one that contains such contentious poopsocking.

I mean that stats are arguably BiS.

That being said, I'd rather gear around having a Feshlak stick and not do any of the epic quest. On the other hand, I might actually have a better shot at casually doing the epic than I do getting a Fesh stick.

Quite the quandary. Guess I'll be rocking that velk spell book for a long time.

I thought chanties wanted the epic for the coolest looking weapon in the game. Quakes make it easier to do VD/VT. Make some friends and when quakes go late in month have everyone park a toon there.

I snagged VT over an XP weekend; staying logged in over night to catch ToD, with help from some friends & VD cause I had asked/helped park some friends there and 1 logged in at 3am before going to bed and VD was up.

Got my Chanty epic at 54 so get to use it for good haste till 60. But it's mostly for Uber FQ!

I don’t disagree that I got incredibly lucky - particularly with VT, but VD regularly sits up for hours and both mobs are solo-able.

SOS is incredibly useful and I use it frequently. It makes great wipe or LoM haste and helps a ton when you are contesting targets and can’t afford to cast VoG on every toon. In a smaller guild like my own, I am frequently the only enc around.

It’s also undeniably BIS stats unless you have incredible end game gear (we’re talking multiple Vulak/Doze/KT quality drops), and everything in it is effectively one-groupable. Even then, the click is so useful it should never leave your bags.

I get why people don’t want to do the sock, but if you are patient and prepared, you really don’t have to sock all that hard.

Snake stick is dope, Hasting pets is awesome. And it looks cool AF

Also with 2x earthquakes a month it's the easiest it's ever been!

Yeah TBH the most appealing thing to me about the chanter epic is the graphic.

You'll only replace your epic with 1 TOV item at the very late game of your gearing career and who doesnt want a snake staff !
