I try to be respectful of loramin just because he's the only poster of his class on this forum. I sort of curbed the indiscriminate thing after I dumped Daywolf (another one-of-a-kind like Loramin) accidentally.

I typically don't read his posts simply because I have no interest in trolling him or throwing boulders to knock his head askew.

I am a respectful folk.

So I'm an anomaly here because I know the difference between scientific and unscientific knowledge? Not sure whether to laugh or to cry over that fact.

But you need not worry about offending my delicate liberal sensibilities and scaring me off the forums. About the worst you could do is annoy me into staying away from RnF for a month (and honestly if you somehow managed to do that you would actually be doing me a favor).

lol @ thinking holesum is new here
I can barely keep track of y'all by your name and avatar, let alone follow people through their new accounts. Heck, when you switched from the fat cat to "Swajen" it must have taken me at least a month to make my brain associate you with the Deadwood bartender.

The idea that truth bares herself for any book ready to watch and record is absurd. Truth is shy.

I'm feeling a little pokier than usual is all. Having experienced the consequences of extinction hunting before on this board, p99 Red, etc, I too have adopted the conservationist's stance on the loramin/kayyte/shrubwise/katriks for some time. I promise I will only subsistence hunt the normfauna.

Dude, it's really not very hard: if there's a scientific experiment which backs up some bit of knowledge, that knowledge is scientific. It's not guaranteed to be right (people make new discoveries all the time), but it's far, far more likely to be right than something without scientific backing.

Meanwhile, when you just make up some claim, and then justify it with ... reasons (none of which are in any way supported by scientific evidence) that's not science, it's pseudoscience.

Oh, and back on the "women have higher pain tolerance" thing, I looked it up and you are absolutely right: it seemed to be true ten-ish years ago (when I must have heard it), but then they did some more studies and it turns out it's not true ... or at least people have realized that asking study respondents to rate their own pain is not a good way to get objective information, and that they need to do some studies with MRIs or whatever to really find out the answer.

So hey, there's a perfect example of scientific evidence suggesting something is right, then more/better evidence coming along to challenge it. But that whole process is still a million times better than just having a bunch of idiots arguing over their own biased opinions without a shred of evidence to support them.
you have a severe case of non comprehension

Next time you get caught grabbing ass, I would go for the only excuse proven to work during #metoo,

"I'm just old fashioned"

Women love classy guys grabbing their ass. Obviously. It's just this new breed of harpies that has a problem with it.
