I love the ALS raid post! I'm hoping to attend.

I also just realized I maybe broke a rule. I was not "shit talking" staff as Sirken has stickied. I'm simply passionate. Hopefully that passion is observed.

The staff can post more. I think the most reasonable example is guild MOTD. SAY SOMETHING! It takes less time to post something on the p99 website than it took me to write this post.

I'm asking for some hospitality. I've been around a while. I see glimmers of hospitality. Hospitality. Hospitality.

You're all going to hate that word, but most want it. Be present. Be aware. Have a response to anything. Ugh... I'm beating a dead horse.

I can't speak for the rest of the staff, but I spent the day with my family, eating burgers and lighting fireworks. I'm sure most of them did the same. Imo, the only obligation we owe to you or anyone else here is a stable server to play on that mimics Everquest how it was in 1999-2001. I think it's safe to say that nilbog and Rogean have fulfilled that goal and have kept it going for 9 years.

Could there be more GM events? Sure, I will not deny that. Could there be better communication between staff and the player base? Maybe. But as Rogean has said before, he will release information when there's something to actually report. There's not much atm. Chardok is done, waiting for patch. Small fixes are being done day by day (check bugs section). Green is still in the works. Unfortunately I cannot tell you anything about discord, as I have not asked about it in a while. Things are status quo. The devs work on things when they can. This is nilbogs project, he has the right to do things at his own pace.

No holiday event? 25% exp boost sure, but really? NOTHING else. I don't play this game for EXP. I am going to sound like an incredibly entitled moron, but this feels like the thread for it. Allow me to vent please.

Don't allow a populated server to stagnate. Where is your hospitality? Why aren't you posting at least ONCE per week on the main page? WHY aren't you keeping us engaged? There are only a few of you from what I understand. Working for free. If you've lost your passion to maintain and entice, then pass-the-buck. Give the server to another. A complicated thing, and I understand that.

If you are checked out, then move on and allow another to take the reigns. No-one would blame you. What the hell? We are all asshole elfsim addicts. Just pass the torch. You all feel invisible!

Wah wah... You don't get paid. You all have an OBLIGATION to thousands of players. You all signed up for this. If you feel you're in too deep it's because you have succeeded. Succeeded in providing us some much nostalgia and joy. We aren't going anywhere.

Please keep us engaged. Please post something on the official page. Even if just once a week. You do not OWE us a single thing, though I do feel you have an obligation. Pass the torch, or step up a bit.

Thank you, Llandris. I think you maybe missed my point, and my career is hospitality. It is brutal and unforgiving. You will never appease everyone.

Llandris, you are the person I would expect to post something on the website front page. "Hello all! Enjoy your adventure!" It's such bullshit to have to post that, but its YOUR duty. We can't update the front page. It's the first thing new and existing players see.

This post was never about updates, and of course never about attacking the team that runs the server. I hope you all can see that.
